Kurzfassung englisch:
In this work the thermal interaction of a thin steel plate and a water ow is analysed by a 2D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation using the commercial software FLUENT. Under periodically changing uid inlet temperature (at 2Hz frequency) the response of the plate is simulated and the variation of the temperature distribution within time and space examined. Another investigated key factor is the pressure drop as it determines the needed pump power.
To be able to generalise these results, studies are carried out for twelve di erent plate geometries and six uid velocities. Later a parametrised model has been developed. Using this model it is possible to examine a large number of plates at once, as well as di erent geometries and uid velocities in the studied range.
